I've just spent some fair time reading and contemplating Chana's blog entry Surrendering Our Minds To God.
See there for her blog entry, and see the comments there for my thoughts thereon.
She touches upon
1) Why the rational moral commands had to be commanded, and not let to our intellects along guide us in morality and social rectitude, and
2) Suspending our intellect when it comes to G-d's command, and doing as He commands, despite our rationality's protest.
I adduce more sources to support what she says regarding (1), but I completely reject (2), providing my thoughts on why.
