Brilliant article. Absolutely brilliant and essential.

In brief: Zionism is based on a connection to Jewish history. Zionism and Jewish Biblical archaeology go hand-in-hand. There is no difference between Tel Aviv and "the settlements"; where there's a historical Jewish presence, there's a Zionistic claim. Divorced from Jewish history, Zionism is nothing short of thievery; if Israeli history dates only to 1948, then indeed, the land is Arab land and we are thieves.

Of course, Rabbi Meir Kahane said this all decades ago, but no one was listening. Hopefully, his time has come. Indeed, Kahanist Rabbi Dr. Michael ben Ari, spoke in the Knesset, and all the Arab MKs left, but the Jews remained (see "Arab MKs give NU's Ben-Ari cold shoulder"), whereas in Rav Kahane's time, *everyone*, left and right, Jewish and Arab, left when he spoke - no one would deign to hear his words. Hopefully, bz"h, Rav Kahane's message will soon come into its own.
